I have all my Stampin Up paper stored by color family 2 colors per file. My DP is in a 12x12 expandable folder by pack if bought that way or by theme if bought as a single sheet. I'm new to DP so that works for now as I accumulate more I may need to change my system.

Ang you have probably seen mine, but I will post anyway. All of my Stampin' Up cardstock is stored vertically in plastic hanging file folder boxes that I got at Office Max. I have a hanging file for each of the 48 colors. I put the 8 1/2 x 11 in the folder and the 12 x 12 just behind the folder. Yes, the 12 x 12 paper sticks up out of the top and I can't put the lid on the box, but it is always out, I can see it better, and I don't care. My SU designer paper is stored in the file box as well, but my non-SU DP is in a drawer of my Iris cart. Hope this helps!

I have all of my 12 x 12, plan and patterned, in 12 x 12 storage drawers from WalMart, sorted by color and labeled. There is also a drawers for multicolor and one for seasonal papers. My 8-1/2 x 11 is in magazine holders on a bookcase, sorted by color with plain and textured of the same color in the same holder, separated by a piece of chipboard. I hope that makes sense!

I keep my paper in egg crate containers. The ones that can hold file folders. I keep them sorted by color families and then by colors. This is only for 8.5x11 size. All of my 12x12 I keep in the standing holders sold by SU!. Solids go in one and patterned papers are in another. I like my system so I hope this helps.

I put all my 8.5 x 11 cs in hanging file folders, 2 colors per folder (one in front, one in back), and sorted in sections by color family. For the 12x12, I have the rubbermaid drawer units, and i put cs in one drawer, scrapping kits & paper in another, and pieces in the last one. If I end up with more 12x12 paper, I'll just get more drawers.

I bought magazine files for my Stampin' up 8 1/2 x 11 paper. I have one file per color family. The rest of my miscellaneous paper that is kind of no name stuff is sorted into colors and just stacked in my wood pantry type cabinet. For my 12 x 12 paper I bought some acrylic trays from an online vendor who used them to store her papers and then came up with a different system since she had so much of it! Thanks for the chance at some candy.

I store by 12X12 paper in a milk carton crate and sort it by color. It works wonderful! I don't have any other sized paper so I don't know what to do with smaller peices but maybe you could keep the 8 1/2 X 11 in a big clear baggie maybe?

I got some Magazine holders from Ikea and I have my paper in them. I have one box per comapney and than in the boxes I put the tabed dividers you get for binders and I have labeled them with the names of the paper alphabeticaly.

ya I like to be orgenized :P

My SU cardstock, of which there is not a lot is stored in some wooden units I picked up from Ikea in UK which sit on my desk. All my other cardstock is stored in a tall wooden unit which is divided into squares and I have used two of these one for A4 cardstock and one for A5 cardstock and it is all in colour order.

I was just having the same dilemma this week. Mine's a big jumble right now and I need to figure out how to sort it out. I think I'm going to get some clean pizza boxes from the pizza place in town, and maybe sort them by company to begin with and see how I like that. If I don't like it I can change it.
Thanks for the giveaway, and good luck sorting!

i store all of my 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock in file folders...they each get their own hanging file folder...and i label each one...this way i can see what i'm running low on. for my 12 x 12, i keep in a portable paper holder, that i take with me to crops and stuff...it has about 20-30 spots for different colors. i'm kind of obsessive like that, and i like to have all my colors seperated...hope that helps!

I have all of my 8.5 x 11 stored in hanging file folders, one for each color, in a filing cabinet. I keep all of my 12 x 12 papers stored in a plastic file/sorter and I keep that in a canvas tote so that I can easily take it with me to crop nights. Works for me...

Hi! I organize mine by color. That way when I want a certain color, I know where to go. I keep my paper in the 12x12 containers that are made for paper. Thanks!

I organize my pattern paper by theme. I have a 12 x 12 acrylic organizer with 10 shelves. I have a shelf for boy, girl, floral/butterfly, vintage, baby, holiday, family pages, specialty, pet, misc. Then I use the 12 x 12 clear holders to store my 12 x 12 color cardstock and separated by color family. These store nicely on a shelf and are easily accessed. The nice thing is, they are relatively inexpensive. My 8 ½ x 11 cardstock is all stored in a 2 drawer filing cabinet. I have them all separated by color family, specialty, vellum, etc.

I have several ways of storing paper. I use Cropper HOpper for themed papers like Bling of textures . I have a 3 drawer crate for remnants of paper that are too small to stash elsewhere. There is a drawer for cardstock plain, patterned and one for odd stuff like vellum, shiny or embossed. I als have a paper sorter for any 8 x11 papers on the end of my desk. And an old dresser that has loose patterned paper that hasnt been put away yet. I did buy a large handled carry all with dividers for that. My next job I think. For themes purchased together like Basic Gry-they are in plastic bags in flat boxes labeled on the front-I have tons of themes going on but can always just grab one and go this way. The plastic bags are what the local scrap store uses instead of paper bags so they are reusable and have handles too.

I store all my paper in various sizes of magazine holder. Then it's sorted by size then color. Any pages that are specific to a scrapbook page or ones I can't bear to cut/tear I store in a separate pizza box. Then they all sit nicely on a bookshelf!

Hi! Thanks for the chance to win some goodies :) Hope these ideas help you...

SU 8 1/2 x 11: sorted by SU color family. Each individual color has its own hanging folder. The hanging folders are stored in plastic "hanging file" boxes with lids (Sterlite from Wal-mart). Each box holds 2 families.
I have file folder tabs that are actually made from each color of paper. Found them a year or so ago on e-Bay.

SU neutrals, white, black, etc. are stored the same way in another file box. And any other 8 1/2 x 11 speciality paper is stored the same way, in yet another file box.

12X12 DP or card stock: are sorted by color group (blues, greens, etc) and stored in those "craftkeepers" closable envelopes that you can get on sale for $1 at Michaels. The envelops are standing up in a cardboard box that copy paper came in, like you would see in an office. You can't put the top on it, but you can easily see what you have.

I have just started buy 6X6 Basic Grey, and I haven't figured out what to do with them yet. I'm am reading your other comments for ideas :)

I forgot to mention...
all of my cardstock scraps are sorted by color family and stored in hanging file folders that have the closed sides, so the little pieces don't fall out.

I keep scraps of DP in the same craftkeeper with the full sheets of the same paper.

I store all my paper seperatly by clor in a file folder. The label all the tabs. All my designer paper I store with what color or colors I think it will match the best. Thanks for sharing.

I have my cardstock sorted by color in stacking trays. My patterned paper is sorted by manufacturer in vertical folders.

I have solids by color and patterns separate vertically, and kits are kept together as well. It's been working for me so far.

I keep my 81/2 x 11 paper in a cropper hopper by my desk and the 12x12 in a file cabinet. Works well for me.

Hi! I like to organize my solid paper by color, but my pattern paper by company. Is that weird?

I have all my SU card stock in rolling file carts. Each color has a large manilla envelope behind it to hold the scraps. If I need a scrap of a certain color I know where to find it.

My paper is stored by colour families in the 12x12 plastic paper keepers.

My plain paper is in a rolling file with color drawers to coordinate with the color of paper that is inside. My paper with designs is another story! It's in the drawers in my desk in no particular order. I wish I knew of a way to better display it so that I could find it easier.

I store all my colored cardstock in cropper hopper upright storage in color order and my patterned paper in color groups. The cropper hopper storage is great because it's upright, easy to see what you have and expandable!

I have a portable file folder, that I store all my paper by color, but I only have SU paper and not all that much compared to lots  so my stash is quite small. TFS

My SU 8 1/2 x 11 paper is store in cubbies by individual color. My 12 x 12 is in white plastic drawers by color family. Although....I do keep my Basic Grey, Daisy D, etc paper in a separate pizza box. These I use the most!

Actually, I have that same problem. I don't store my paper in any particular way, and I have to wade through it all when I'm looking for something. I'm really interested in seeing what others do.

I have the 8 1/2 x 11 stored in file folders in a legal size file cabinet by colors, reds, oranges, blacks, whites, etc. The 12x12 paper is in those vertical storage holders by cropper hopper that Michaels offers. They are in color families there as well. I have patterned paper in catagories. The cropper hopper stuff comes with dividers that are easily recreated.

Have fun~

I sort by color family, both for the solids and for the patterned paper. I, too, use the vertical cropper hopper units and have several. My 8-1/2 x 11 solds are sorted by color family in smaller vertical magazine files. My "fancy" paper is in a separate unit. I have also resorted to sorting my scraps in large baggies in color families and have found this very helpful when I'm looking for a small scrap of just the right color. I'm using up my scraps and find that I am saving paper because I don't cut into a fresh sheet of paper every time I turn around. It's working for me!

I store my 8 1/2 x 11 in a filing cabinet, sorted by colours. SU paper stays in the wrapper so I know the name should I want to use it for a SCS colour challenge. My 12 x 12 paper sits in a drawer, laying flat. Plain on the left, patterned on the right. What doesn't fit sits in a plastic file folder for storing paper, and that's a big mess. No rhyme or reason, Ugh!

I store my paper in several ways. I have separated all Christmas, Halloween/Thanksgiving paper into separate storage, smaller holidays I will combine. I then sort by color, but do have a separate stack for florals. have a separate stack of birthday and specialiity paper. Oh my now I am confused, but it really works for me. I think I have too much paper, Not.

I store my smaller paper (SU cardstorck) in folders in alphabetical order, my 12x12 SU Cardstock the same, Decorative papers by maker, SU, Basic Gray, Wild Asparagus, etc.

Anonymous said...

I use a file cabinet and post them in alphabetical order by the name of the papers.
